We recently built this beautiful thermal cut bluestone patio and granite landing in the Waban village of Newton, MA. Thermal bluestone is a great choice for patio because of its non-slip and water-resistant properties. These particular stones are cut to specific shapes and sizes as opposed to being random or jagged in appearance. They are also finished with a thermalling process to create a rough and attractive texture.
Waban is one of the thirteen villages within the city of Newton, Massachusetts. Waban was once a heavily forested area that developed as an agricultural village in the 19th century. By the 1860s, it was known for its orchards, farms and nurseries.
